NIGHT OF THE QUARTER MOON 1sh '59

Night of the Quarter Moon (released in Canada as "Flesh and Flame"), the 1959 Hugo Haas race-relations interracial romantic courtroom lawyer legal melodrama ("I don't care WHAT she is... She's mine!"; "Written by Frank Davis and Franklin Coen"; about a rich guy who marries a girl who is found out to be partially black African-American, and of course his family is completely horrified and tries to annul the marriage; one of many such "I passed for white" type movies made at this time) starring Julie London (London had a long career in movies and as a singer, becoming a star in the late 1950s, and she later had success in the 1970s on the TV show "Emergency!"), John Drew Barrymore (he was the son of famed actor John Barrymore, and the father of actress Drew Barrymore, but mental issues limited his career), Anna Kashfi, Dean Jones, Agnes Moorehead, Nat King Cole (the incredibly talented black African-American singer, who appeared in a number of movies), Cathy Crosby, Ray Anthony, Jackie Coogan (best remembered for playing the title role in Charlie Chaplin's "The Kid" and starring as "Uncle Fester" in TV's "The Addams Family"), Charles Chaplin Jr., Billy Daniels (billed as "Guest stars Cathy Crosby, Ray Anthony, Jackie Coogan, Charles Chaplin, Jr., and Billy Daniels"), and James Edwards (pioneering black African-American actor, one of the first to completely break away from the Stepin Fetchit stereotyped roles, and play all positive black characters in mainstream Hollywood movies).
Important Added Info: Note that Nat King Cole is pictured on this one-sheet!
Overall Condition: good. There is a Canadian censor stamp at upper right. There is light rippling and slight discoloration throughout the poster from exposure to moisture.
